Chess is coming to EWC 26 after debuting at EWC 25, where Magnus Carlsen, competing under Team Liquid, claimed the inaugural title.

His victory helped establish chess as a natural fit on the EWC stage, blending classical mastery with modern esports competition.

Chess is an ancient game of wits, with both players thinking several steps ahead of their opponent to corner the King and get the Checkmate. Each piece has a different set movement, allowing players to knock out enemy pieces and close in on each other's King. Just remember, some promising knockouts could be a trap.
