Step back in time at the heart of medieval Paris with a visit to the Sainte-Chapelle and the Conciergerie, both nestled on the Île de la Cité. Sainte-Chapelle, a 13th-century Gothic masterpiece, stuns with its towering stained glass windows—15 panels illustrating over 1,000 biblical scenes in radiant color.

Commissioned by King Louis IX to house Christ’s Crown of Thorns, this intimate chapel is a breathtaking fusion of faith, history, and art that glows gloriously when sunlight pours through the glass.

Just steps away lies the Conciergerie, once a royal palace turned prison during the French Revolution. Its dark history includes the imprisonment of Marie Antoinette, whose final days unfolded within these solemn stone walls.

Visitors can explore vast halls like the Salle des Gens d'Armes and use the Histopad, an interactive augmented reality tool, to bring centuries of lost spaces and stories vividly back to life.

Visitors to the Sainte-Chapelle and / or Conciergerie will have a dedicated line. You will have to go through a security check to enter the monument
Each reservation slot is 30 minutes, meaning that if you have a reservation for 10:00 am, you will be able to access the monument at 10:30 am at the latest
You must choose your date and time for the Sainte-Chapelle, the Conciergerie visit must take place on the same day, at the time of your choice

Free cancellation or rescheduling is allowed up to 48hours before the experience.

By car: There are many ways to reach your destination, including heading down Rue Saint-Martin, continuing over Pont Notre Dame and Rue de la Cité, then turning twice to reach Boulevard du Palais with the destination on the left. GPS navigation is highly advised.

By Metro or Bus: Take Line 4 to Cité or Saint-Michel – Notre-Dame (Lines 4 & 10). From either station, walk toward the Île de la Cité, following signs to Sainte-Chapelle, located near the Palais de Justice. Buses 21, 27, 38, 85, and 96 also stop nearby, within walking distance.

By taxi: You can easily reach your destination by taking a taxi or by using a ride-hailing app.
