This is an exterior tour of the Notre-Dame Cathedral. Entry to the cathedral is free, and you are welcome to join the general admission queue after the tour concludes.
Please note that this tour does not include skip-the-line access or timed reservation tickets. Lines may be long, especially within the first year of the cathedral’s reopening.
Entry to Notre-Dame Cathedral may be denied to anyone not dressed appropriately hats, short skirts, sleeveless shirts, and low-cut clothing are not allowed inside the cathedral

By Metro:
Line 4: Cité station is the closest metro station, just a few minutes' walk from the cathedral.
Line 1 or 11: You could also choose to disembark at Châtelet or Hôtel de Ville stations and walk across the Seine (5 to 7-minute walk).
Paris metro stations can be busy during rush hours (7:30am–9:30am and 5pm–7:30pm).
By Bus:
Line 47: Cité or Saint-Michel station (160m, 2-minute walk)
Line 87: Hôtel de Ville station (500m, 7-minute walk)
Line 75: Maubert-Mutualité or Cluny – La Sorbonne station (400m, 6-minute walk)
Buses are stroller-friendly and a good option for travelers with kids.
By Train:
Hop onboard RER Line B or C and get off at Saint-Michel – Notre-Dame station, which is a 2-minute walk to the cathedral (160m, 2-minute walk).
The RER trains are slightly different from the metro. Look for clear signage indicating RER routes to avoid confusion.
By Velib (Bicycle):
Station 4001: 10 rue d’Arcole (80m, 1-minute walk)
Station 4002: Place Louis Lépine (350m, 3-minute walk)
Station 4003: 1 quai aux Fleurs (300m, 3-minute walk)

Très bien
Revoir Notre-Dame après la restauration est émouvant, et le fait que l’entrée soit incluse après le tour extérieur rend l’expérience encore plus complète.

Commencer par l’extérieur avec un guide puis entrer seul à son rythme, c’est la formule idéale. Les voûtes et les vitraux à l’intérieur laissent sans voix.

The hour outside flew by because the guide pointed out details on the facade I would have missed. Stepping inside on our own felt even more meaningful with that context.
